Garmin’s Edge 810 can do pretty much everything, short of pedal your bike for you. Sure this water-resistant wonder has great metrics like speed, distance, ride time, heart rate, ANT+ compatibility with power meters, and the best mapping and routing on a bike computer. But what really sets this unit apart can be summed up in two words: real time. It syncs with your smartphone via Bluetooth to enable live tracking, so you can share your ride data with friends, loved ones, or teammates as you ride. Let all your friends on social media know just how hard you're crushing it. This wireless connection also works the other way: create a course online or view your past workouts and — with the Garmin Connect app — you can easily send them to your 810 for use during a ride, or against a virtual partner to race against your previous efforts. You can also download new courses onto your 810, and receive turn-by-turn navigation as you ride. It even has real-time weather updates. Plus, with its highly-detailed street and optional topographical maps, the Edge 810 is perfect for touring, commuting, or any other activity where onboard maps and navigation are required.

Comments:
Has many bells & whistles but nav is poor. screen is too small, touch screen difficult, impossible to read with sunglasses, turn chime is too low to hear while riding. course nav will get hung up searching & must be reloaded stationary. works great in a car but very poorly on a moving bike. Will give inaccurate directions before freezing. save your $$$ I have been told that the Edge 800 works well but the 810 was rushed to production & it's up to customer to patch up the software.
