VPP™ SUSPENSION DESIGN
Since 2001, Santa Cruz has been using a Virtual Pivot Point, or VPP™, suspension design to bring you the best balance of pedaling efficiency and all-out bump-chomping prowess available, all while being extremely tough and reliable. That's all fine and dandy, but how does it work?
In a nutshell, VPP™ utilizes two links that rotate in opposite directions, creating a "virtual" pivot point, or instant center, that moves throughout the suspension travel, dictating the rear wheel's axle path. This virtual pivot makes this design highly tuneable, allowing us to deliver the exact riding characteristics we want, depending on the application—ensuring you're left with the best riding experience, no matter what Santa Cruz bicycle you're riding.
PROPORTIONAL GEO AND FRAME STIFNESS
Proportional geometry and stiffness is our way of specifically engineering each frame size so that certain elements scale as frame size gets larger—so whatever your stature, there are no compromises with performance, efficiency, or fit. We’ve taken this concept to a new level with proportional rear-center, or chainstay length, and even frame stiffness. The result is a bike that’s dialed at every size.
RIDING AINT EASY, PACKING SHOULD BE
Nobody likes to ruin the aesthetics of their gorgeous machine with spares and tools strapped about. With the Glovebox, you can pack your Tool Wallet and Tube Purse inside the frame, keeping things tidy and ensuring you always have everything you need.

A downhill bike that goes everywhere
Seriously. The Megatower’s big wheels, long travel, and tough carbon fiber chassis delivers the high-speed security traits of a downhill bike. Yet the relatively-steep seat tube angle and size-specific geo maintain the Mega’s mega pedaling ability—elevating its reputation as the perfect choice for big gravity rides and DH park laps.

The latest generation of the Heckler has a larger interchangeable battery (720wh up from 504wh), which allows riders to expand their own trail map - accessing previously unreachable trails, unlocking less-used trails and cramming more into less time.
The new Heckler has both mixed or dual 29-inch wheel size options. Wheel size isn't the only option for riders. There's a full size range of both from medium to XXL, with the small size frame having dual 27.5 wheels. Two levels of carbon (Santa Cruz's own C and CC blends) open up the range of options for build kits.
